Kawasaki's Ninja ZX-4RR Launched, India's Priciest 400cc Bike
Kawasaki has launched the high-spec Ninja ZX-4RR in India, priced at Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The ZX-4RR is just Rs 28,000 less than the Z900, making it India's priciest 400cc motorcycle. This new model boasts several advanced features and specifications.
Engine and Power
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine. It produces 77 bhp at 14,500rpm and 39Nm of torque at 13,000rpm. The RAM air intake boosts the peak power to 80 bhp. This engine demands high revs to unleash its full potential.

Suspension and Hardware
The ZX-4RR shares its mainframe with the standard ZX-4R but has enhanced suspension. It includes an adjustable front fork for preload and a fully adjustable rear monoshock. A bidirectional quickshifter comes standard, unlike the ZX-4R where it is optional.
Design and Features
The ZX-4RR follows the Kawasaki Racing Green scheme along with bold "Kawasaki" and "Ninja" decals. The aggressive styling of the fairings, sharp lines, and aerodynamic features give the ZX-4RR a truly race-ready look.

The bike's compact and sleek design is not only visually appealing but also contributes to its high-performance capabilities on the track. With a focus on speed and precision, the ZX-4RR is built to deliver an exhilarating riding experience for those looking to push the limits.
The attention to detail in both the aesthetics and performance of the ZX-4RR solidifies Kawasaki's reputation for producing cutting-edge sport bikes that are built to dominate the competition.
The electronics suite offers four riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider. These modes adjust power settings, traction control, and ABS intervention for various riding conditions.

DriveSpark Thinks
Priced at Rs 9.10 lakh, the ZX-4RR is positioned Rs 61,000 higher than the ZX-4R, both being imported as CBUs, leading to their premium pricing. In the Indian market, the ZX-4RR currently does not have any direct competitors, with the closest rival being the Triumph Daytona 660, which is not yet available for purchase.
Although the 2024 CBR650R from Honda could potentially pose competition, it is not yet released in India. This distinctive positioning leaves the ZX-4RR as a unique offering in the Indian motorcycle market for the time being.
