Kawasaki Unveils Ninja 1100, Versys 1100: A Tease Into Their 2025 Launches
Kawasaki has introduced the Ninja 1100 and Versys 1100 models, featuring a larger 1,099cc engine. This new engine delivers 136hp for the Ninja and 135hp for the Versys, both at 9,000rpm. The Ninja experiences a slight power reduction of 4hp compared to its predecessor, while the Versys sees a significant increase of 15hp.
The torque figures for both bikes stand at 113Nm at 7,000rpm. This marks a minor improvement of 2Nm for the Ninja but a notable gain of 11Nm for the Versys. Despite these changes in performance, the styling of both motorcycles remains largely unchanged from their previous versions.

New Features and Variants
A USB-C charger is now standard on both models, located near the left-hand switch cube. The Ninja introduces an SE variant for the first time, equipped with an Ohlins shock and Brembo M4.32 calipers, brake discs, and master cylinder. Internationally, the Versys offers S, SE, and SE LT variants in addition to the standard version.
In terms of gearing adjustments, both bikes have had their fifth and sixth gears extended to reduce engine rpm during cruising. They share identical final drive gearing with a 15/42 sprocket setup (front/rear), resulting in taller gearing for the Versys but shorter for the Ninja.

Market Availability and Pricing
Kawasaki India traditionally offers higher-spec variants only as CBUs (Completely Built Units) like the Z H2 and Ninja H2 SX. CKD (Completely Knocked Down) models such as the Z900 and ZX-10R usually do not receive these variants. It remains uncertain if this policy will change when these bikes launch in India in 2025.
Both motorcycles are expected to retain electronic rider aids like riding modes, traction control, cruise control, and dual-channel ABS. These features have been standard on previous models and are likely to continue with the new releases.

Internationally, there has been a minor price increase for these models. A similar pricing strategy is anticipated when they become available in India. The exact specifications and variants offered in India will be confirmed closer to their launch date.
The introduction of these new models comes just ahead of EICMA, showcasing Kawasaki's commitment to enhancing performance while maintaining familiar aesthetics. As enthusiasts await further details on Indian availability and pricing, these updates promise exciting developments in Kawasaki's lineup.
