Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid Motorcycle Patented In India – Powertrain, e-Motor & Other Details
Kawasaki recently patented the Ninja 7 Hybrid motorcycle in India. This could mean the potential launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid motorcycle in the country, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
Speaking about the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid motorcycle, the model is tagged as the world's first mass-produced Strong Hybrid motorcycle. If successful, the whole motorcycle industry could follow the path paved by Kawasaki.

Powering the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid is a 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This powertrain is further aided by a traction motor with a peak power output of 12bhp. In combined form, this hybrid powertrain puts a total of 60bhp.
However, the peak power output can be bumped up to 69bhp with the e-boost function built into the Ninja 7 Hybrid motorcycle. That being said, the energy for the electric motor is stored in a 48V lithium-ion battery pack.

Kawasaki claims that the Ninja 7 Hybrid is capable of delivering a performance that is comparable to a motorcycle with an engine capacity of 650cc to 700cc. Also, the model is said to have acceleration comparable to a 1000cc supersport motorcycle.
While hybrid motorcycles are good on performance claims, where it really shines is the efficiency. According to Kawasaki, the Ninja 7 Hybrid has a fuel efficiency that is on par with that of a 250cc motorcycle.

To sum it up, the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid has performance that is comparable to a 650+cc motorcycle, with an acceleration of 1000cc supersport motorcycle, and fuel efficiency of 250cc motorcycle - Looks like a total winner on paper.
Standout features of the Kawasaki Ninja 7 HEV include a high-quality TFT dashboard with Rideology application, walk mode, idle start-stop function and much more. Out of these features, the walk mode enables low-speed forward and reverse functions for easy manoeuvrability, whereas the idle start-stop function boosts overall efficiency.
The Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid comes equipped with telescopic suspension at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Apart from that, the model uses twin-disc brakes at the front and a single-disc brake setup at the rear.
Globally, the new Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid is priced above the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. As such, it is safe to expect the model to carry a price tag of more than Rs 10 lakh when launched in India.
