Jawa-Yezdi Plans To Launch 7-8 New Models: Targeting New Segments
The Classic Legend Motorcycles, which includes the three iconic names Jawa, Yedzi, and BSA, have been strolling in the shadows and waiting for the right moment to gain traction in the country.
Backed with the support of the Mahindra Group, the company now plans to launch 7-8 new motorcycles in the coming financial year (FY24) to strengthen its market share and boost overall sales figures.

Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles has been trying different strategies to strengthen its market share. One of Jawa’s moves to reinforce the trust of their customers is allowing buyers of models from 2019 and 2020, to have any rusted part changed free of cost. 2019-20 Jawa or Yezdi owners are also obliged to a 6-12 month warranty increase.
The CEO of Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles, Ashish Joshi, stated in an interview that the brand has 7-8 models that will be launched in FY24. Two of the models are expected to be fresh products from Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles. This should allow the brand to enter the new motorcycle segment in the Indian domestic market.
Jawa-Yezdi has not released any details on their upcoming releases. However, we expect the new versions to use the same 337cc engine seen in their current models competing amongst rivals.
Given that Jawa-Yezdi does not have a streetfighter-style bike available in its lineup, at least one of the two new models will likely be a streetfighter model. Less likely, however, still possible, Jawa-Yezdi may release a sporty bike model, given the high demand for such models in the Indian market.
The remaining models are expected to be new variants of currently available models as well as updated variants of existing bikes. Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles is expected to start launching their new lineup as early as June and July.
DriveSpark Thinks
If Jawa-Yezdi can maintain a higher quality of vehicle and continue to improve its brand and customer relations, it might be able to hold on to its brand heritage. It would be nice to see another true contender in the 300 cc to 600 cc category.
