Classic Legends Teases Sportier Jawa 42: Launch On Sep 3, All Details Here

Classic Legends aims to outpace Royal Enfield in the 300cc to 500cc motorcycle segment. Recently, they launched the new Jawa 42 motorcycle starting at Rs 1.73 lakh (Ex-showroom). Now, a sportier version of the Jawa 42 is on the horizon.

The company has teased a new variant of the Jawa 42, which appears more dynamic and appealing than its predecessor. This teaser comes just weeks after the launch of the 2024 Jawa 42, which featured powertrain refinements and a price reduction of up to Rs 17,000.

Jawa 42 New Variant Teased

The latest teaser reveals a sporty design with a prominent JAWA logo on the fuel tank. The teardrop-shaped fuel tank seems longer than that of the current model. Additional features include a single-piece raised seat with under-seat grab rails, an up-swept exhaust, and dual-tone alloy wheels.

Although specific changes and features are not fully disclosed, hints from the teasers suggest significant updates. This new variant is not replacing the recently updated Jawa 42 but will likely be an addition to the existing lineup, including models like Jawa 42 and Jawa 42 Bobber.

Current 2024 Jawa 42

The upcoming version promises enhanced performance compared to the current model. The design also looks sportier, positioning it above the existing Jawa 42 in terms of aesthetics and functionality.

Speculations indicate that this motorcycle might feature a larger 334cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V liquid-cooled engine. This engine could produce around 30 bhp of peak power and 32.7 Nm of peak torque, similar to what is seen in the Jawa 42 Bobber. It is expected to come with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS.

What to Expect?

This new variant could be priced under Rs 2 lakh (Ex-showroom), aligning it closely with Royal Enfield's updated Classic 350. If true, it would be the first non-bobber motorcycle from Jawa to feature this powerful engine setup.

Classic Legends is intensifying its competition against Royal Enfield by introducing advanced technology and higher performance motorcycles at competitive prices under both Jawa and Yezdi brands. The launch is scheduled for tomorrow on September 3rd, 2024.

The company’s strategy involves leveraging superior technology and performance while maintaining affordability to attract customers away from Royal Enfield.
