Classic Legends Launch The New Jawa 42 FJ Motorcycle In India At Rs 1,99,142
Classic Legends launched the new Jawa 42 FJ motorcycle in India with a starting price of Rs 1,99,142 (ex-showroom). This new motorcycle from Classic Legends comes under the automaker's Neo Classic range.
Looking at the design, the newly launched Jawa 42 FJ 350 looks modern without losing the classic proportions. This makes the design of the Jawa 42 FJ timeless and attractive, especially for the youngsters.
That being said, the Jawa 42 FJ's design is an evolution from its predecessor, but the new model looks a bit more muscular and proportionate. We expect these changes to resonate well with its target audience.
Powering the newly launched Jawa 42 FJ is an all-new Alpha 2 engine, which is a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. This engine puts out 29.45PS of power and 29.62Nm of torque.
According to Classic Legends, the new Jawa 42 FJ is the first motorcycle in its class to sport a 6-speed gearbox. The company also claimed that the motorcycle features unique engine mapping for each gear.
Under the design elements, the Jawa 42 FJ uses a double cradle frame for sporty handling characteristics. Furthermore, the bike uses 41mm telescopic suspension at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
In terms of braking hardware, the new Jawa 42 FJ comes equipped with front and rear disc brakes with floating calipers and ABS at both ends. It is also worth mentioning that the Jawa 42 is on the heavier side with a kerb weight of 194kg.
In terms of colour options, the Jawa 42 FJ comes with 5 different options. These shades include Cosmo Blue Matte, Aurora Green Matte, Mystique Copper, Deep Black Matte Red Clad, and Deep Black Matte Black Clad.
At present, interested customers can book the new Jawa 42 FJ for just Rs 942. Also, deliveries of the motorcycles are expected to commence soon. If you are wondering what the 'FJ' stands for in the 'Jawa 42 FJ', it is the name of the founder of Jawa Motorcycles - František Janeček.
