Honda Racing India Set For Exciting Round 2 Of 2024 IDEMITSU Talent Cup
Honda Racing India riders are gearing up for Round 2 of the 2024 IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup at Madras International Circuit (MIC) in Chennai. Following a thrilling first round, the competition is set to intensify further.
Round 1 of the NSF250R category saw Chennai's Shyam Shundar dominate. Leveraging his racing experience, Shyam executed strategic moves to overtake Mohsin P and Rakshith S Dave, securing the top spot. Despite starting from a challenging position, he climbed the ranks with precision.

IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup
The IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup aims to develop young riders for national and international championships. It features Honda NSF250R motorcycles, designed for Moto3 racing. The championship provides a competitive platform with its lightweight chassis, powerful engine, and aerodynamic bodywork.
In Round 1, Mohsin P from Mallapuram and Rakshith S Dave from Chennai also showcased impressive skills. Mohsin's speed and strategy earned him second place after a fierce battle with Rakshith, who secured third despite a tough start.
Round 2 will see stiff competition from A S James (22) from Bengaluru, Prakash Kamat (20) from Bengaluru, and Beedani Rajender (19) from Hyderabad. They will be joined by six new riders: Savion Sabu (16) from Bengaluru, Rakshitha S Dave (16), Jagathishree Kumaresan (19) from Chennai, Aaron Soni Fernandez (15) from Thiruvananthapuram, Steve Waugh Sugi (19) from Trichy, and Vignesh Pothu (17) from Hyderabad.
New Riders Join the Fray
The grid for Round 2 will feature 11 young riders on the Moto3 race machine platform – NSF250R. Among them is Rakshith S Dave (16), who is also preparing for the Thailand Talent Cup.
The IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup serves as a stepping-stone for aspiring riders. It offers professional training and a pathway to professional motorcycle racing. The championship's primary goal is to identify and nurture talented riders.
