Honda NX500 Pre-Bookings Open In India – Launch Soon
The buzz within the motorcycling community is palpable as we inch closer to the launch of the much-anticipated Honda NX500. Interested customers can also pre-book the Honda NX500 by paying a token amount of Rs 10,000.
After its grand reveal at EICMA 2023, there's been a lot of chatter and excitement, especially with a dealer's social media post hinting at its imminent arrival. Honda's adventure lineup in India is about to get a significant boost as the NX500 joins the ranks alongside the Transalp 750 and the formidable Africa Twin.

The heart of the Honda NX500 is a robust 471cc, parallel-twin engine, which is a continuation of the now-discontinued CB500X. However, in the NX500, this liquid-cooled engine is optimized to deliver a punchy 46.5bhp and 43Nm of torque.
As such, the upcoming Honda NX500 motorcycle is all set to rival the likes of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan with a similar weight of 196kg and a seat height that stands at 830mm, making the model suitable for a broad range of riders.

Setting itself apart from the CB500X and other competitors in its segment, the NX500 makes a bold statement with twin disc brakes at the front and the bike comes equipped with dual-channel ABS as well. Moreover, riders can look forward to a 5-inch TFT dashboard, ensuring that all the necessary information is at their fingertips.
Although the CB500X was last priced at Rs 5.79 lakh before it quietly exited the market, we foresee the NX500 to come with a price tag of around Rs 7 lakh. Furthermore, the model is expected to come in two classic colour options: red and black.

That being said, deliveries of the model is expected to be kicked off between February and March 2024. Also, the Honda NX500's nearest competitor is expected to be the Kawasaki Versys 650, even though the model is priced at Rs 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
Thoughts About The Honda NX500
The Honda NX500 is gearing up to make a bold entrance into the Indian adventure touring scene. With its advanced features, robust engine, and the reputation of Honda's reliability, it stands to be a compelling option for enthusiasts seeking a high-performance ADV tourer.

The anticipation is high, and the clock is ticking towards its launch. As we await its arrival, one can't help but wonder if Indian motorcycling aficionados will see the value in the NX500's offering and if it will indeed become the new favourite on Indian terrains.
