Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Reaches 6 Crore Sales Milestone

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has hit a significant sales achievement, recording 6 crore domestic sales in India. The company, which made its debut in the Indian market in 2001 with the Activa, has grown remarkably over the years.

Its journey from inception to becoming one of the most favoured two-wheeler brands in India is noteworthy for its innovation and quality. Honda's product range, tailored to the diverse needs of Indian consumers, showcases its commitment to excellence.

The journey to this milestone involved rapid growth and several significant achievements along the way. From taking 11 years to reach the first 1 crore sales, the company’s growth rate increased substantially, reaching the next 1 crore in just three years.

Achieving the 3 crore mark in 2017, Honda’s customer base doubled to 6 crore by March 2024. This growth underscores the brand's strong presence and the customers' trust in its products.

Central to Honda's success in India are the Activa and Shine models, known for their reliability and performance. The company's diverse portfolio, ranging from 100cc motorcycles to the 1800cc Gold Wing Tour, highlights its unique position in the Indian market.
