Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has solidified its presence in India's central region by reaching the impressive milestone of 1 crore cumulative two-wheeler sales. This achievement encompasses sales across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh, highlighting the brand's strong appeal and sustained trust among consumers in these areas.

Since making its debut in the Indian market in 2001 with the launch of the Activa, HMSI has consistently grown in popularity. The brand has become a household name, especially noted for its responsiveness to the changing preferences of a broad customer base throughout the country.

The milestone of 1 crore sales in the central states is a clear indication of HMSI's successful journey and the deep-rooted trust and loyalty it enjoys among its customers, supported by an extensive dealer network.

"The states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh have been crucial to our success, with the first 50 lakh sales achieved by 2017 since our start in 2001. Remarkably, we reached the next 50 lakh sales in just under seven years, proudly expanding our family to over 1 crore customers," stated Mr. Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales & Marketing, HMSI.

The Activa, Honda's flagship scooter, leads the sales charts in these states, closely followed by the 125cc motorcycles, Shine 125 and SP125. The launch of the Shine 100 has further strengthened HMSI's position, particularly in the 100-110cc segment. With over 1,200 network touchpoints spread across these four states, HMSI ensures its products and services are easily accessible to customers in both rural and urban settings.

Honda's diverse product lineup caters to a wide range of customer needs. It includes four scooter models in both 110cc and 125cc variants, such as the Activa and Dio, and nine motorcycle models spanning across various segments.

These range from 100-110cc models like the Shine 100, CD 110 Dream Deluxe, and Livo, to the 125cc Shine 125 and SP125, the 160cc Unicorn and SP160, and the 180-200cc Hornet 2.0 and CB200X.

Additionally, HMSI's commitment to premium motorcycle retail is evident through its BigWing Topline outlets in major metros, catering to the entire premium motorcycle range from 300cc to 1800cc, and BigWing showrooms which focus on the mid-size motorcycle segment from 300cc to 500cc.

The premium range includes models like the all-new CB350, H'ness CB350, CB350RS, CB300F, CB300R, NX500, XL750 Transalp, Africa Twin, and Gold Wing Tour. The Hornet 2.0 and CB200X have also been made available through BigWing showrooms, further enriching HMSI's premium motorcycle offerings.
