Honda Motorcycle India Sees 60% Sales Jump In June 2024
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported a significant 60% YoY growth in overall sales for June 2024, with 5,18,799 units dispatched. This figure comprises 4,82,597 units in domestic sales and 36,202 units in exports. The domestic market experienced a robust 59% YoY growth, while exports surged by an impressive 70% compared to the same period last year.
Network Expansion and Road Safety Initiatives
In June 2024, HMSI opened its first Sales & Service outlet in Shillong, Meghalaya. This new dealership marks the company's 25th Authorized Main Dealership (AMD) in North-East India and its 174th in the eastern region. Furthermore, HMSI conducted road safety awareness campaigns across nine Indian cities to promote safe driving practices.

Environment and Wellness Commitments
To demonstrate its commitment to environmental sustainability, HMSI celebrated Environment Month in conjunction with World Environment Day on June 5th. As part of the celebrations, the company pledged to plant one lakh trees across various regions of India. Additionally, Honda India Foundation observed International Yoga Day at the Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra in Gurugram, Haryana, promoting health and wellness among over 300 participants from more than 20 surrounding villages.
Motorsports Achievements
The IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team riders Kavin Quintal and Mohsin Paramban displayed consistency and determination during Round 3 of the 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship's AP250 class race at Mobility Resort Motegi in Japan. In the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R category's first round, Chennai's Shyam Shundar emerged as the leader, followed by Mohsin P in second place and Rakshith S Dave in third position.
