2025 Honda Dio 125 Scooter New Shades Introduced, But With A Catch
Honda has introduced the 2025 Dio 125 in South Korea, priced at KRW 2,690,000, which is approximately Rs 1.62 lakh. The scooter is available in two colours: Mat Axis Gray Metallic and Pearl Deep Ground Gray. These shades differ slightly from those offered in India, with the South Korean Mat Axis Gray Metallic appearing darker and the Pearl Deep Ground Gray having a bluish tint.
In India, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) offers the Dio 125 starting at Rs 84,851 for the standard model and Rs 91,750 for the SMART variant equipped with Honda's Smart Key feature. Indian customers have a wider range of colour options including Mat Sangria Red Metallic, Pearl Nightster Black, Sports Red, Pearl Siren Blue, and Mat Marvel Blue Metallic.

Features of the Honda Dio 125
The design of the 2025 Honda Dio 125 remains sporty and aggressive across both markets. It features an LED headlight on its apron with large turn indicators on either side. The handlebar houses LED DRLs, while sharp cuts and creases enhance its dynamic appearance. Despite these visual elements, there are no significant differences between the South Korean and Indian models beyond colour variations.
The Dio 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that delivers around 8.2 bhp of power and 10.2 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a CVT transmission. The scooter boasts a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres and claims a fuel efficiency of 49.5 km/l at a steady speed of 60 km/h for the South Korean version.

Shared Components Across Markets
Both Indian and South Korean versions share similar components such as alloy wheels—12-inch at the front and 10-inch at the rear—and braking systems featuring front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Additionally, they come equipped with a split digital console and keyless ignition system as part of Honda's Smart Key technology.
Honda has established itself as a leading scooter manufacturer in India through popular models like Activa and Dio. The Dio stands out with its sportier design appeal among consumers. Available in both 110cc and recently added 125cc variants, it offers numerous features aimed at enhancing rider comfort.
While HMSI has not confirmed plans to introduce new colours for the Indian market's Dio lineup yet, enthusiasts hope these fresh shades will eventually become available locally too.
