Honda CB300F Flex Fuel Motorcycle Launched In India At Rs 1.70 Lakh
Honda has recently announced the release of the CB300F flex fuel model, which is priced at Rs 1.70 lakh, the same as the standard CB300F model. This new flex fuel variant, revealed earlier at the Bharat Mobility Expo, is now available for purchase.
Interested buyers can start booking their bikes, which will be up for grabs at BigWing showrooms towards the end of this month. The flex fuel CB300F, capable of running on E85 fuel—a blend that includes up to 85 percent ethanol—brings an innovative option for riders looking for more environmentally friendly alternatives.

This pricing strategy comes after the initial launch of the CB300F faced challenges with its market reception. Initially introduced at Rs 2.29 lakh, the bike's sales did not meet expectations, prompting Honda to implement a significant price reduction. A temporary discount of Rs 50,000 was offered before the company decided to permanently adjust the motorcycle's price to Rs 1.70 lakh to boost its appeal and sales.
Despite the innovative fuel system that accommodates E85 fuel, the flex fuel version of the CB300F remains visually and mechanically indistinguishable from the standard model. Both versions share the same design and features, with the differences being minimal. The flex fuel variant is available in two color options, red and grey, diverging from the standard model which also includes blue.
Furthermore, the flex fuel CB300F is equipped with an additional indicator on its display. This unique feature alerts riders if the ethanol content in the fuel surpasses the 85 percent threshold, ensuring the proper use of the intended fuel type.
Honda's move to introduce a flex fuel motorcycle in India reflects a growing interest in sustainable and alternative fuel options within the automotive industry. The CB300F flex fuel model not only offers a more environmentally friendly choice for riders but also maintains affordability by keeping the price point consistent with the standard model. Available in a limited color range of red and grey, this model aims to appeal to a broad audience while promoting the use of ethanol-based fuels.
The launch of the CB300F flex fuel model is aligned with Honda's strategy to cater to a diverse range of customer preferences and environmental considerations. By offering this bike at the same price as its petrol counterpart, Honda is making a clear statement about its commitment to sustainability without compromising on cost.
As bookings open and the bike becomes available at BigWing dealerships, it will be interesting to see how the market responds to this eco-friendly alternative. Honda's initiative could pave the way for more flex fuel vehicles in India, contributing to a greener future in the automotive landscape.
