Hero Xtreme 160R 2V Launched In India At Rs 1.11 Lakh
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V, now priced at Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), has received updates from the Xtreme 160R 4V. This model is available in a single variant with a rear drum brake and comes only in black. It features new additions like a drag race timer and a 0-60kph timer.
New Features from the Xtreme 160R 4V
The Xtreme 160R 2V incorporates several features from its 4V counterpart. These include the drag race and 0-60kph timers, along with visible changes such as a new tail-light and a single-piece seat. Hero claims that the seat now has a flatter profile, enhancing overall comfort, and the pillion seat height has been significantly lowered.

This motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled, 163.2cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 15hp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The underpinnings feature a diamond frame housing the motor, supported by a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension system.
Specifications and Comparisons
The tyre sizes remain consistent with the Xtreme 160R 4V, featuring a 100/80-17 front tyre and a 130/70-R17 rear tyre. The bike's seat height is set at an accessible 795mm, and it weighs in at 145kg when its 12-litre fuel tank is full.
At Rs 1.11 lakh, the Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is Rs 28,000 cheaper than the Xtreme 160R 4V. Its competitors include the Bajaj Pulsar N150 priced at Rs 1.25 lakh and the Yamaha FZ range of bikes which are priced between Rs 1.17 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

The single-channel ABS system complements the rear drum brake setup on this model. The bike's design ensures it remains user-friendly while maintaining performance standards expected in this segment.
