Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition Motorcycle Launched In India At Rs 1.67 lakh
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition motorcycle in India at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new model is an upgrade of the existing XPulse 200 4V Pro and includes several enhancements, such as a Dakar-inspired livery. Bookings for this special edition will commence on December 18, 2024, and it is available at a Rs 3,000 premium over the Pro variant.
Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition Design
The bike retains the mechanical features of the Pro variant but introduces unique elements like a Dakar logo on the fuel tank, graphics depicting a bike dune bashing, and location coordinates. The side and tail panels also feature new graphics. Additionally, it boasts an adjustable front suspension with 250mm travel and a ground clearance of 270mm.

The Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition comes equipped with ABS that offers three ride modes: Road, Off-Road, and Rally. It also includes a rally-style windshield, closed-loop knuckle guards, and a USB charger. The ergonomics have been updated with a handlebar riser to enhance the standing riding stance.
The bike rides on wire-spoked wheels with dual-purpose tyres-21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear-and features disc brakes at both ends. The special livery highlights rugged terrain and coordinates on the fuel tank, adding to its distinctive appearance.

Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition Engine Specifications
Powering the Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is a 199.6cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 18.9bhp at 8,500rpm and produces a peak torque of 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. Deliveries are expected to start in a few weeks.
This launch coincides with Hero MotoSports Team Rally's participation in the upcoming Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia on January 3, 2025. Riders Ross Branch, Sebastian Buhler, and Nacho Cornejo will represent the team in this prestigious event.

Upcoming Models
In addition to this release, Hero plans to introduce the next-generation XPulse 210 in 2025. Showcased at EICMA 2024, this model will feature an all-new design along with a new livery and additional features. It will be powered by a new 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR.
