Hero MotoCorp To Increase Xtreme 125R Production: Surging Demand In Indian Market

Hero MotoCorp is set to increase the production of its Xtreme 125R motorcycle in response to growing demand. The company currently produces 10,000 units per month but plans to ramp up production to 25,000 units per month, equating to 1,000 units per day.

The Xtreme 125R has become a popular choice among young riders due to its premium features in the 125cc segment. It offers excellent fuel efficiency, achieving up to 56km/litre. The motorcycle is available in two variants: IBS and single-channel ABS, with prices ranging from Rs. 95,000 to Rs. 99,500 (ex-showroom).

Xtreme 125R Production Boost by Hero MotoCorp

The new Hero Xtreme 125R is a very sporty-looking motorcycle and the overall design would be even fitting for a 180cc motorcycle. Design highlights include sharp LED headlights, a muscular-looking fuel tank with sharp tank shrouds, split grab rails and a tall rear section with a stepped-up pillion seat.

The new Hero Xtreme 125R motorcycle is powered by an all-new 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. This engine in the Xtreme 125R is tuned to produce 11.4bhp at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Also, the motorcycle uses a 5-speed gearbox.

The Xtreme 125R uses a Diamond frame chassis, and the model uses 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic-type monoshock at the rear. For braking, the Xtreme 125R uses 276mm (240mm for the base model) disc brakes at the front and 130mm drum brakes at the rear.

That being said, increasing production will reduce the waiting period for customers who have already booked the Xtreme 125R. This move is expected to further boost the motorcycle's popularity.

The Xtreme 125R is available in three colour options: Cobalt Blue, FireStorm Red, and Stallion Black. It competes with other popular models in the 125cc segment, such as the Honda Shine and Bajaj Pulsar 125.

DriveSpark Thinks

Hero Motocorp's decision to increase the production of the Xtreme 125R motorcycle is a testament to the growing popularity of the model in India. Furthermore, we expect the Hero Xtreme 125R sales increase even more around the upcoming festive season.
