Oben Electric Marks Its Entry Into North India With New Delhi Dealership
The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India is on the rise, mirroring global trends. However, a significant portion of Indian buyers prefer electric scooters over electric bikes.
This preference is primarily due to the nascent stage of EV technology and the higher costs associated with electric bikes. Despite this, companies like Oben Electric are making strides in the market.
Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based company, has been expanding its presence aggressively. Until recently, all seven of its dealerships were located in South India. The company has now inaugurated its eighth dealership in Delhi, marking its entry into North India.
The new showroom is situated in the Pitampura area of Delhi. This strategic move allows Oben Electric to cater to customers in the national capital and surrounding regions. To celebrate this milestone, the company has introduced a special offer for its Rorr electric bike.
In an effort to attract customers, Oben Electric has reduced the price of its Rorr electric bike significantly. While the ex-showroom price in South Indian cities like Bengaluru is Rs 1.49 lakh, the bike is available for Rs 1.10 lakh in Delhi. This offers a substantial discount of Rs 39,000.
This promotional price is limited to the first 100 customers who book the Rorr electric bike. The Rorr is known for its safety features and performance. It boasts an 8 kW electric motor, accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3 seconds, and has a top speed of 100 kmph.
Future Plans
With the opening of its first showroom in Delhi, Oben Electric aims to expand rapidly. The company plans to establish a total of 12 dealerships and service centres in Delhi and NCR by the end of 2024. This expansion will enhance their ability to serve a broader customer base.
