Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP Motorcycle Launched In India At Rs 19.05 Lakh

Ducati, the globally recognised superbike manufacturer, has introduced a premium motorcycle model in India. The Hypermotard 950 SP is priced at ₹19.05 lakh, which is the ex-showroom price.

This price point is significant as it could buy a second-hand luxury car like a Mercedes or Audi. Alternatively, one could purchase three Maruti Alto cars for the same amount.

Ducati s New 19 05 Lakh Hypermotard 950 SP in India

Ducati has launched this expensive motorcycle targeting India's affluent sport bike enthusiasts. The company is banking on the Indian market's potential and the wealth of its consumers.

The Hypermotard 950 SP is the third variant in the Hypermotard series available in India. Ducati also offers the Hypermotard 950 RVE and Hypermotard 698 Mono models. This new model features superior components and new paint options compared to its predecessors.

To reduce weight, Ducati has incorporated carbon fibre panels into the bike's design. It also features a premium 48mm-diameter Ohlins USD fork with adjustable height ranging from 170mm to 185mm.

The rear suspension includes an Ohlins monoshock, and the bike has a single-sided swingarm. Both front and rear suspensions are adjustable. The wheels are lightweight 17-inch Marchesini alloy wheels, fitted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres.

The bike is powered by a 937cc L-twin Testastretta engine, delivering a maximum power of 114hp at 9,000rpm and 96 Nm of torque at 7,250rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a bi-directional quickshifter.

This engine is also used in other Ducati models like the DesertX and SuperSport S but is tuned for more power in the Hypermotard 950 SP.

Despite its numerous high-end features, the bike weighs just 191kg without fuel. The seat height is 890mm, which is taller by 20mm compared to the Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE model.

Braking System and Additional Features

The braking system includes two 320mm discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear. To enhance the riding experience, Ducati has equipped this bike with multiple riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control.

Currently, there is no direct competition for this bike in the Indian market. This lack of competition has allowed Ducati to confidently price it at ₹19.05 lakh.
