2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery Unveiled: A New Adventure Beckons
Ducati has introduced the 2025 DesertX Discovery, an adventure-ready variant of the DesertX motorcycle. This dual-purpose bike, featuring Thrilling Black and Ducati Red Livery, is an upgrade over the standard version and comes with multiple accessories as standard. The DesertX Discovery follows the more off-road focused DesertX Rally in Ducati's lineup.
Enhanced Protection and Comfort
The DesertX Discovery offers added protection with reinforced hand guards, engine protection plates that cover the water pump, radiator grill, and a reinforced sump guard.
Heated grips, a larger windshield, and a center stand are also included as standard equipment to make maintenance and luggage loading easier for riders.
Improved Suspension and Braking
The bike features fully adjustable Kayaba suspension for preload, rebound, and compression. It has a 230 mm travel upside-down fork at the front and a 220 mm travel rear monoshock.
The motorcycle is equipped with 21-inch spoke wheels at the front and 18-inch wheels at the rear, covered in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Braking is managed by 320 mm discs with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers at the front and a 265 mm disc with two-piston calipers at the rear.
Advanced Features for Riders
The Italian brand has equipped the DesertX Discovery with a dual 5-inch TFT-LCD screen that enables multiple connectivity features such as turn-by-turn navigation.
The bike also offers three riding modes for road use and two for off-road use, along with traction control, three-level cornering ABS, wheelie control, and more.
The DesertX Discovery is powered by a 937 cc liquid-cooled Testastretta V-twin engine that generates 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox with an up-and-down quick-shifter.
The 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery emerges as a compelling choice for adventure enthusiasts seeking a motorcycle that excels on both paved and unpaved roads.
While the official launch date and pricing for the Indian market haven't been announced yet, Ducati fans can expect the Discovery variant to arrive alongside the standard DesertX, offering a more touring-oriented option with its additional features and focus on comfort.
With its combination of off-road capability, advanced rider aids, and a powerful engine, the DesertX Discovery is poised to be a formidable contender in the adventure motorcycle segment, both globally and potentially in the Indian market.
