BSA Gold Star 650 To Be Launched On August 15 – Top 5 Things To Know
The BSA Gold Star 650 is expected to be launched on the upcoming 78th Independence Day of the country. When launched, the model will directly compete against the Royal Enfield 650 Twins, and here are the top 5 things you need to know about this upcoming model.
BSA Gold Star 650: Design
The BSA Gold Star 650 is a modern-retro motorcycle that embraces retro charm to its fullest. In fact, many may mistake the new BSA Gold Star 650 for a retro motorcycle from the 1980's. However, a closer look will eventually reveal modern touches including modern electrical and mechanical bits.

BSA Gold Star 650: Features
Despite its looks, the BSA Gold Star 650 is a proper modern motorcycle with features such as an LCD display, dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch, USB charger, LED taillamp and much more. However, it does lack a few modern touches such as all-LED lighting and mobile phone connectivity features.
BSA Gold Star 650: Powertrain
The upcoming BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve engine. This engine produces 44.27bhp at 6,000rpm and 55Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.

However, unlike the Royal Enfield 650 Twins, the BSA Gold Star 650 motorcycle comes equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. This gives the model an advantage when it comes to riding in urban areas, which is further helped by the torquey engine.
BSA Gold Star 650: Hardware
The BSA Gold Star 650 comes equipped with a telescopic suspension at the front and a 5-step pre-load adjustable twin shocks at the rear. On the other hand, the braking duties are carried by a 320mm disc brake at the front and a 255mm disc brake at the rear.

BSA Gold Star 650: Tyres & Wheels
The BSA Gold Star 650 in the UK comes equipped with 18-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear. These spoked wheels come wrapped in 100-section tyres at the front and 150-section tyres at the rear.
