BSA Gold Star 650 To Be Launched Tomorrow In India – All Details Here
Classic Legends is set to challenge Royal Enfield's 650cc motorcycles by introducing the BSA Gold Star 650 in India. This new motorcycle is expected to debut on India's 78th Independence Day.
BSA Gold Star 650: Design
The BSA Gold Star 650 features a modern-retro design that strongly evokes the charm of vintage motorcycles. At first glance, it might be mistaken for a bike from the 1980s. However, upon closer inspection, modern elements such as updated electrical and mechanical components become evident.

BSA Gold Star 650: Features
Despite its retro appearance, the BSA Gold Star 650 is equipped with contemporary features. It includes an LCD display, dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch, USB charger, and LED taillamp. However, it lacks some modern amenities like all-LED lighting and mobile phone connectivity.
BSA Gold Star 650: Powertrain
The BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with four valves. This engine delivers 44.27bhp at 6,000rpm and generates a peak torque of 55Nm at 4,000rpm. Unlike the Royal Enfield 650 Twins, this model features a 5-speed gearbox which enhances its suitability for urban riding thanks to its torquey engine.

BSA Gold Star 650: Hardware
The motorcycle comes with telescopic suspension at the front and twin shocks with five-step preload adjustment at the rear. For braking, it uses a 320mm disc brake at the front and a 255mm disc brake at the rear.
In terms of wheels and tyres, the UK version of the BSA Gold Star 650 sports an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. These spoked wheels are fitted with a 100-section tyre in front and a 150-section tyre at the back.

DriveSpark Thinks
This combination of modern technology and retro aesthetics makes the BSA Gold Star 650 an intriguing option for motorcycle enthusiasts in India. The launch on Independence Day adds to its significance as Classic Legends aims to make a notable impact in the market.
