The BMW S 1000 XR has officially arrived in India, opening up bookings across all authorized BMW Motorrad India dealerships. This model, arriving as a completely built-up unit (CBU), has stirred excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts with its promise of blending high-performance with long-distance riding comfort.
According to Mr. Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, the BMW S 1000 XR stands out as a top choice for riders seeking both power and endurance in a sport bike. With its four-cylinder in-line engine, the motorcycle promises an exhilarating ride across any distance, ensuring that the adventure only ends when the rider decides.
The ex-showroom price for the new BMW S 1000 XR is set at Rs. 22.50 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom), making it a premium offering in the motorcycle market. To support potential buyers, BMW Financial Services India is providing customized financial solutions, including pre-approved loans before delivery.
Moreover, the motorcycle comes with a three-year, unlimited kilometer warranty, extendable up to five years, alongside a 24x7 Road-Side Assistance package for complete peace of mind.
Designed for both speed and comfort, the BMW S 1000 XR introduces a redesigned seat and a sharper front fairing and lighting system for an aggressive look. The S1000 XR boasts a peak output of 170hp at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114Nm at 9,250 rpm, enabling it to sprint from 0-100 Km in just 3.25 seconds and reach top speeds of 253 km/h.
With an adjustable seat height of 850 mm, which can be further lowered with optional equipment, the motorcycle offers improved ergonomics for better control and maneuverability. The redesigned rear section and the motorsport-inspired air intakes give the motorcycle a dynamic appearance.
The S 1000 XR comes equipped with an extensive standard equipment list, including Touring and Dynamic packages, Riding Modes Pro, Heater Grips, Cruise Control, and an adaptive Headlight Pro for safer night rides. Additional features like Tyre Pressure Control and Hand Protection enhance rider safety and enjoyment. The motorcycle also includes Keyless Ride and a USB charging option as standard.
