Both models showcase intricate details such as LED headlights with black-framed light guide elements on the R 12 nineT. The instrument panel integrates seamlessly into each model's style; two round instruments on the R 12 nineT and a single round instrument on the R 12.
Engine Specifications
Both motorcycles are powered by an air/oil-cooled boxer engine. The engine in the BMW R 12 nineT delivers 80 kW (109 hp) at 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 115 Nm at 6,500 rpm. In contrast, the BMW R 12 produces 70 kW (95 hp) at 6,500 rpm and generates a torque of 110 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

The suspension system includes upside-down telescopic forks with a diameter of 45 mm slider tubes for both models. The rear wheel suspension on the BMW R 12 nineT features a Paralever swinging arm combined with an angled spring strut.

Braking System
The front wheel braking system consists of twin disc brakes with radially mounted four-piston monobloc brake callipers and a diameter of 310 mm. A single disc brake with a two-piston floating calliper and a diameter of 265 mm is used on the rear wheel.
Safety Features
Both models come equipped with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for enhanced driving safety during acceleration. They also feature standard engine drag torque control and Tyre Pressure Control systems.
The standard adaptive Headlight Pro light system ensures better visibility at night. Additionally, both models include Keyless Ride systems replacing conventional ignition locks.
