Biggest Pulsar Ever – 'Pulsar NS400' Could Be Launched By End Of March, All Details Here
Bajaj Auto will soon launch the "Biggest Pulsar Ever". Though details on this upcoming Pulsar motorcycle are still under wraps, the model will be the flagship model under the Pulsar range.
That being said, the most expensive Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle currently on offer is the Pulsar RS 200 with a starting price of Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the biggest Pulsar on offer is the Pulsar 250 with its 249cc, single-cylinder engine.
This 249cc engine in the Bajaj Pulsar 250 puts out 24.1bhp at 8,750rpm, and 21.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Furthermore, this engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
While these figures once screamed the pinnacle of Indian sport biking, it has become more of a middle ground as bike manufacturers started launching more powerful bikes with bigger engines.
At present, the most powerful bike currently sold by Bajaj is the Dominar 400. This motorcycle uses a 373cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine at its heart with 39.4bhp and 35Nm of torque.
As such, we expect the "Biggest Pulsar Ever" to share its powertrain with the Dominar 400. This will not only help Bajaj position the Pulsar range as its flagship offering but it will also save Bajaj plenty of money on development costs as well.
We expect the upcoming "Biggest Ever Pulsar" to fall under the NS range and likely to be called the Bajaj Pulsar NS400. If so, we expect the upcoming "Pulsar NS400" to be lighter than the Dominar 400.
To put things into perspective, the Bajaj Dominar 400 weighs around 193kg, whereas the smaller Bajaj Pulsar NS200 weighs just 158kg. As such, we expect the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 to be at least 20kg lighter than the Bajaj Dominar 400.
If true, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will have a much better power-to-weight ratio than the Bajaj Dominar 400. Also, the model is expected to come with features such as all-LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity and more.
Thoughts About The Bajaj Pulsar NS400
The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 makes the best fit for "Biggest Pulsar Ever". When launched, we expect this model to be Bajaj Auto's latest flagship offering. Also, we expect the Pulsar NS400 to come with a very aggressive price tag.
