Bajaj NS400 Teased? Here Are Our Expectations
Bajaj recently released a short teaser video of its upcoming motorcycle. As with every teaser video, important details have been cleverly hidden out using editing trickery. However, some details do slip out.
Going with these slipped details, we can confirm that the upcoming motorcycle from Bajaj Auto comes under the company 'NS' series. Given the hype and absence of a higher-capacity sporty motorcycle, we expect this teased motorcycle to be the Bajaj NS400.

If so, the upcoming Bajaj NS400 could use the same engine as the Bajaj Dominar 400. This means a 373cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine at its heart with 39.4bhp and 35Nm of torque. Also, we expect the model to sport a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
While these figures are identical to the Bajaj Dominar 400, the upcoming Bajaj NS400 is expected to be a lot lighter than the former. For reference, the Bajaj Dominar 400 weighs 193kg, whereas the Pulsar NS200 weighs just 158kg.
As such, we expect the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 to be at least 25kg lighter than the Bajaj Dominar 400, giving the former exceptional power-to-weight ratio. This will help the Pulsar NS400 not only post better performance figures but better efficiency as well.
Also, given the simplicity of the Bajaj NS series of motorcycles, we expect the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 to be priced below the outgoing Bajaj Dominar 400, which is priced at Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
That being said, the teaser of the upcoming Bajaj motorcycle could even be an updated version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 motorcycle. Furthermore, the upcoming Bajaj NS motorcycle could feature a revised tail section and a new instrument cluster.
This updated instrument cluster is likely to be a fully digital unit with Bluetooth connectivity and other additional features. If so, expect a slight bump in price on the updated NS200 motorcycle.
