Bajaj Freedom 125 Receives Price Cut: Aims To Clear Inventory
Bajaj Auto introduced the Freedom 125 motorcycle, the first CNG-powered bike globally, in July at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). This motorcycle can travel 330 kilometres with a full CNG and petrol. Bajaj claims it offers 50% fuel savings, compared to similar petrol-only bikes, making it an economical choice for those lower fuel costs and better mileage.
In a move to make the Freedom 125 even more appealing, Bajaj Auto has slashed price by up to Rs 10,000 within five months of its launch. priced at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom) - The price cut affects two variants: Drum and Drum LED.

Bajaj Freedom CNG Bike Price Cut
The Drum variant now costs Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom) after a Rs 5,000 reduction. Meanwhile, the Drum LED variant saw a significant decrease of around Rs 10,000, bringing its price from Rs 1.05 lakh to Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). These adjustments make the Freedom 125 more accessible for budget-conscious buyers.
Since its debut, Bajaj Auto has sold over 35,000 units of the Freedom 125 CNG bikes. Reports indicate nearly 80,000 units have been dispatched to dealers in the past five months. While Bajaj hasn't officially explained the price drop, it might be effort to clear inventory from this year's production.

Engine and Mileage
The Bajaj Freedom 125 equipped with a 125cc petrol engine paired with a CNG tank under the seat. The bike's engine produces 9.4 bhp and 9.7 Nm of torque. It features a 2 kg CNG tank alongside a 2-litre petrol tank, making it slightly heavier than bikes in its class.
Bajaj asserts that operating costs reduced by up to half compared to conventional petrol motorcycles of similar capacity. CNG bike boasts a mileage of 102 km/kg on CNG and 64 km/l on petrol. It can cover up to 200 km on CNG and an additional 130 km using petrol.
