Bajaj has applied for trademarks in India for names like 'Fighter', 'Bruzer', 'Marathon', 'Trekker', 'Freedom', and 'Glider'. One of these names might be chosen for the world's inaugural CNG motorcycle.
2. Launch Date
Initially speculated to launch on June 18th, the Bajaj CNG bike's release has been postponed to July 5th, 2024. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, will attend the event alongside Rajiv Bajaj, CEO of Bajaj Auto.

3. Design Elements
Despite their association with cost-effective measures, the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike features an exciting design. It boasts ADV-inspired aesthetics, including a long seat, stubby fuel tank, knuckle guards, handlebar brace, stylish alloys, and front disc brakes.
4. Petrol+CNG Convenience
Bajaj's blueprints reveal a petrol + CNG setup for added convenience. A small petrol tank will be included to accommodate the limited availability of CNG stations compared to conventional fuel stations. Users can choose between running their motorcycle on CNG or petrol.

5. Unmatched Fuel Efficiency
The Bajaj CNG bike is expected to use a 125cc engine for optimal balance between performance and fuel efficiency. With lower CNG prices and higher efficiency compared to petrol, this motorcycle may offer India's highest mileage and lowest running costs among ICE vehicles.

While not competing with lower-tier budget commuters, the Bajaj CNG bike will likely come at a slight premium due to its cost-saving potential during ownership. A starting price of around Rs 95,000 (Ex-sh) seems reasonable. Spy shots have revealed a base variant with drum brakes at both ends, indicating multiple variants for different buyers.

7. Future Plans for CNG Bikes
Bajaj plans to launch one or two CNG motorcycles by the end of this year and expand its offerings based on market reception. The total number of CNG bikes from Bajaj could reach 5-6 or even increase further in the future.
