Bajaj CNG Bike Launch On July 5: New Teaser Out
Bajaj Auto is set to launch the world's first CNG motorcycle on 5th July 2024, in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Indian Government. Now, the company has released a new teaser of its upcoming CNG bike ahead of its launch in the country.
Bajaj's Unique Approach with CNG Bike
Bajaj aims to create a well-rounded product that intersects with various sub-strata by introducing a premium motorcycle comparable to other 125cc offerings. The CNG bike features an ADV-inspired design to appeal to that specific audience.

Spy shots reveal a stubby fuel tank capable of holding around 5L of petrol and a long seat extending across the bike's wheelbase, under which the CNG tank is supposedly housed. The combined capacity of CNG and petrol fuels should provide a similar tank range as conventional 125cc commuter motorcycles.
The Bajaj CNG bike also features muscular tank shrouds highlighted in silver, extending to the headlight housing. A round headlight adds a classic touch, while handlebar braces, knuckle guards, and front disc brakes contribute to the premium feel in the commuter segment.
Expectations from Bajaj's CNG Bike
Other notable elements include a large side body panel, stylish belly pan, split 5-spoke design alloy wheels, functional grab rail for pillions, ribbed seat, conventional RSU telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock setup, tyre hugger, and an extensive colour range.
Bajaj is likely to equip the CNG bike with a 125cc engine; however, due to CNG's lower performance compared to petrol, it may perform closer to a 100cc engine while offering better fuel efficiency and lower running costs.
DriveSpark Thinks
Bajaj Auto's upcoming CNG motorcycle aims to revolutionize the budget commuter segment by focusing on fuel efficiency and lower running costs without compromising on premium features. With its unique approach and innovative design elements, this new offering could potentially change the landscape of India's two-wheeler market.
