Bajaj Auto Marks 19% Profit Growth In First Quarter Of FY25
Bajaj Auto reported a net profit of Rs 1,988 crore in the first quarter of FY25, representing a 19% increase from Rs 1,665 crore in the same period last year. The company's revenue from operations also saw a significant rise, registering a 16% uptick to Rs 11,928 crore compared to Rs 10,310 crore in Q1 FY24.
The Pune-based automaker sold 11,02,056 units of vehicles in Q1 FY25, marking a 7% increase from the 10,27,407 units sold in Q1 FY24. This growth reflects the company's strong performance in both domestic and international markets.
Vehicle Sales Performance
On 1 July, Bajaj Auto announced a 5% year-on-year growth in total vehicle sales for June, including exports. The company sold 3,58,477 units in June compared to 3,40,981 units in June 2023. This increase highlights the company's expanding market presence.
Total domestic sales for June rose by 8%, reaching 2,16,451 units compared to 1,99,983 units sold in the same month last year. This growth was driven by higher demand for both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles within India.
Export Market Insights
Exports during June saw a modest rise of 1%, with Bajaj Auto shipping out 142,026 vehicles compared to 140,998 vehicles in June 2023. This slight increase indicates steady demand for Bajaj's products in overseas markets despite global economic challenges.
The total two-wheeler volume (domestic and exports) for June stood at 303,646 units. This represents a 3% increase over the previous year's figure of 293,649 units. The consistent growth in two-wheeler sales underscores Bajaj Auto's robust market strategy and product appeal.
