Bajaj Pulsar N125 Unveiled In India: Design, Features & Competition
Bajaj Auto has introduced the Pulsar N125, expanding its popular 125cc motorcycle range. This new model is expected to enhance sales in a category that already performs well for Bajaj. The Pulsar brand has been pivotal in reshaping the premium commuter and street motorcycle segments in India.
The Pulsar N125 aims to become India's top-selling 125cc bike. It joins Bajaj's existing lineup, which includes the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125. The N125 stands out with its sporty design, featuring a muscular tank and an aggressive headlight design, making it visually appealing.

Design and Features
The bike's design includes a sculpted fuel tank, split seat, and single-piece rear grab rail. It also features a chunky tyre hugger and muscular covers on its RSU telescopic front forks. These elements contribute to its robust appearance, aligning with the Pulsar family aesthetics.
LED headlights are vertically stacked on the Pulsar N125, while the rear tail lights also use LEDs similar to other Pulsars. However, unlike some competitors like Hero Xtreme 125R, the turn indicators are halogen. The rider's position is mostly upright with a slight lean towards the handlebars.
Engine and Performance
The Pulsar N125 is powered by a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 11.8bhp and 11Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Although similar to the NS125 in terms of power output, the N125 is lighter, offering a better power-to-weight ratio.
In terms of components, the bike features RSU telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock suspension system. It also comes with an option for a front disc brake and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels similar to those on the Pulsar P150. A fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging port enhances its modern appeal.
Market Competition
The primary competitors for Bajaj's new offering include Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider 125. These models continue to challenge Bajaj in this segment as they offer similar features and performance metrics.
In financial news related to Bajaj Auto, their share price recently dropped over 12% on the BSE. This decline brought shares down by Rs 1,450 to Rs 10,170 due to recent Q2 results for FY 2024/25 and subdued expectations for the upcoming festive season.
The launch of the Pulsar N125 marks another step in Bajaj's strategy to dominate India's motorcycle market further. With its appealing design and competitive features, it is poised to attract many buyers looking for performance within this displacement class.
