Ather Announces Price Increase For 450 Series Scooters In January 2025
Ather is set to increase the prices of its 450 series scooters, including the 450S, 450X, and 450 Apex, starting January 1, 2025. This adjustment will mirror the recent price rise of the Rizta model. The expected hike ranges from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 for these models. This change has been confirmed by dealer sources.
The Ather 450X comes in two versions: one with a 2.9kWh battery priced at Rs 1.41 lakh and another with a larger 3.7kWh battery costing Rs 1.55 lakh. The simpler Ather 450S variant lacks features like Warp mode and a touchscreen TFT, which makes it more affordable at Rs 1.18 lakh. (All prices in ex-showroom).

Ather's Flagship Model: The 450 Apex
At the top of Ather's lineup is the powerful 450 Apex model. Priced at Rs 1.95 lakh, it introduces features like Magic Twist. With the upcoming price increase, this flagship model might surpass the Rs 2 lakh mark in early 2025.
The Ather scooters have consistently been among the pricier options in the electric vehicle market. This upcoming price hike will further solidify their premium positioning. Despite not being the most practical choice initially, the Ather 450X gained popularity due to its reliability and sporty performance.

Understanding Ather's Pricing Strategy
The pricing strategy for Ather's scooters reflects their commitment to offering advanced features and performance. The anticipated price adjustments will affect all three models differently, though specific increases per variant remain unspecified.
All mentioned prices are ex-showroom Bengaluru and include the PM E-Drive subsidy. As these changes take effect, potential buyers should consider these factors when planning their purchases.
Ather's decision to adjust prices aligns with industry trends and reflects their ongoing efforts to maintain competitiveness while offering innovative products in India's growing EV market.
