Ather Rizta Pre-Bookings Now Open – Ola S1 & TVS iQube Rival
Ather Energy has opened bookings for its upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter. According to Ather Energy, customers can pre-book the upcoming Rizta electric scooter via the company's official website and the pre-booking amount is capped at Rs 999.
The upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter has been teased a few times and numerous spy shots of the model are already doing rounds on the internet. Furthermore, Ather Energy aims to position the upcoming Rizta as a family electric scooter.
As such, Ather Energy has given a lot of emphasis on the seats of the Rizta, making it as large and accommodating as possible. Furthermore, some of the official teasers from Ather Energy were also focused on highlighting the sheer size of the seat on the upcoming Rizta electric scooter.
In terms of dimensions, we expect the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter to be a size bigger than the Ather 450 range of electric scooters. Thanks to its bigger size, and larger seat, we expect the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter to come with a large underseat storage space.
We also expect the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter to be built on an entirely new platform. However, the model is likely to share its powertrains with the existing Ather 450 range of electric scooters.
We also expect the base variant of the Ather Rizta electric scooter to share its powertrain with the Ather 450S electric scooter. If so, the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter will come equipped with a 5.4kW (7.24bhp) electric motor with 22Nm of torque.
This powertrain in the Ather 450S enables the model to reach a top speed of 90km/h. Also, the model comes equipped with a 2.9kWh battery pack, giving it a range of 115km. Moreover, charging to 80% takes 6 hours and 36 minutes using a standard home charger.
In terms of features, we expect the base-spec Ather Rizta electric scooter to reflect the features of the Ather 450S electric. This means the Rizta will come equipped with a "DeepView Display" instead of a full-colour LCD instrument.
That being said, we also expect to see the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter with Ather's bigger 3.7kWh battery pack. As a result, expect a range of 150km on this variant. Expect this version to come with a full-colour LCD display and more features.
Speaking about the launch, the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter is expected to be launched on April 6, 2024. As mentioned, we also expect Ather to launch multiple variants of the Rizta family electric scooter.
