Ather Rizta Electric Scooter – Launch Date, Powertrain, Range & More
The electric scooter market has been growing rapidly in India. To meet this growing demand and widening customer requirements, Ather will soon launch a more family-friendly Rizta electric scooter in India.
While many EV makers are launching new electric scooters in the Indian market, the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter has definitely grabbed the attention of many families in India, thanks to its very large seat.
Even spy shots of the Ather Rizta electric scooter confirm that the model will come equipped with a large seat that can comfortably accommodate two large adults and their luggage.
That being said, the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter is likely to use a different frame compared to the Ather 450 range of electric scooters. However, we expect the Rizta electric scooters to sport the same proven powertrain setup.
In fact, to keep the prices competitive, we expect the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter to come with the same powertrain setup and features as the more affordable Ather 450S electric scooter.
This means the upcoming Ather 450S electric scooter will come equipped with a 5.4kW electric motor with 22Nm of torque. This powertrain in the Ather 450S enables the scooter with a top speed of 90km/h and gives it a range of 115km.
In terms of charging, the Ather 450S can charge from 0-80% in just 6 hours and 36 minutes using a standard home charger. Braking-wise, the model comes equipped with a 200mm disc at the front and a smaller 190mm unit at the rear.
Also, in terms of features, we expect the Ather Rizta electric scooter to feature the same features as the Ather 450S electric. This means the Rizta will come equipped with a "DeepView Display" instead of a full-colour LCD instrument.
That being said, we also expect to see the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter with Ather's bigger 3.7kWh battery pack. As a result, expect a range of 150km on this variant.
Also, according to the latest details, the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter is expected to be launched on April 6, 2024. As such, we expect Ather Energy to soon open bookings for the Ather Rizta electric scooter in India.
Thoughts About The Ather Rizta Electric Scooter
With the launch of the Ather Rizta, we expect to see a significant boost in sales figures of the EV maker as the model will appeal to a much wider audience. Also, the launch of Rizta will give tough competition to Ola S1 and TVS iQube range of electric scooters.
