Digitally rendered images based on leaked spy shots of the all-new Ather Rizta have been released on the internet. The Rizta is expected to be a step in a different direction for Ather. The Ather Rizta is expected to be less sporty than the 450 lineup.
Ather is known for building an ecosystem of tech-savvy, young members. This new launch is expected to widen Ather's reach in the market, expecting to rival brands like Bajaj, TVS, and Ola.
The Electric Family scooter segment is becoming very popular in India, with scooters like the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and the Ola S1 lineup. Ather Rizta is expected to provide a new option for those interested in a new practical scooter.
One of the major selling points of this scooter is its boot space. Ather has referred to the seat size multiple times again. The Boot is expected to be larger than the 450 lineup. In a video, a half-face helmet, a bag, a lunchbox, and a few other items were put into the boot of a Rizta.
Along with the boot space, the Rizta also gets a small, useful compartment right in front of the main boot section under the seat that is meant for a first aid kit or any other small items.
The Ather Rizta is expected to get a disc brake on the front rim and a drum brake on the rear wheel, unlike the 450 lineup which gets disc brakes all around. This decision of opting for a rear drum brake is likely due to cost factors. However, this is not much of an issue as the Rizta is less performance-oriented than the 450 lineup and requires less braking power.
In terms of design, we can see that Ather has taken a more practical approach like the Honda Activa or the TVS iQube, designed for comfort and city usage. The front has a sleek LED headlight setup with the same theme on the rear with a sleek LED taillight that is positioned under a useful large grap hand for the pillion rider.
The Ather’s sleek lines and lights give the Rizta a very futuristic appearance. With its flat floorboard and comfortable seating position, the Ather Rizta shouts practicality.
Ather is yet to announce details on battery specifications and other features. However, we can expect Ather to deliver in the battery department as they always do. The Rizta is expected to get a 3kW battery with about 160km of range on a full charge. The Rizta is expected to get a 7-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment display and instrument cluster similar to the 450 lineups.

The Ather Rizta is expected to be launched on the 6th of April at the Ather Community Day in Bangalore. With the launch, Ather Energy is expected to receive a good boost in terms of overall sales volume.
