Ather Rizta Deliveries Start In India: Designed For Every Family Member
The Ather Rizta, the first family electric scooter from Ather Energy, has begun deliveries in select cities across India. This new model is designed to cater to the diverse needs of different household members. Tarun Mehta, co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, shared this update on X (formerly Twitter), listing the initial cities receiving the scooter.
Deliveries have started in Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Nagpur, and various locations in Andhra Pradesh. Mehta also mentioned that the e-scooter "will be coming to all other cities very soon." Production of this new model began in early June.
Ather Rizta Specifications
The Ather Rizta shares its main frame with the 450X but features a new subframe for added comfort and a lower seat height. It is powered by the PMS electric motor from the 450S, allowing it to accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 80 kmph.
The Rizta offers multiple battery pack options: a 2.9 kWh unit with a range of 123 km and a 3.7 kWh battery pack promising a range of 159 km on a single charge. The scooter includes telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear for better handling. Braking is managed by a disc at the front and a drum brake setup at the rear.
Ather Rizta Variants
The e-scooter comes in three variants: S (2.9 kWh), Z (2.9 kWh), and Z (3.7 kWh). The base model S features a DeepView LCD instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation from the 450S. The Z variants are equipped with TFT screens featuring Google Maps navigation.
The S trim includes a standard seat but lacks a pillion backrest, which is standard on the Z trim along with a premium seat. Charging times for the 2.9 kWh versions are around 5 hours and 45 minutes, while the 3.7 kWh version supports fast charging and can be charged in approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to reach 80% capacity.
Ather Rizta Price
The Ather Rizta S starts at ₹1.10 lakh, with an optional Pro Pack adding ₹13,000 to the ex-showroom price for additional features. The Rizta Z (2.9 kWh) is priced at ₹1.25 lakh with an extra ₹15,000 for the Pro Pack. The top variant, Rizta Z (3.7 kWh), costs ₹1.45 lakh, with its Pro Pack available for an additional ₹20,000.
