Ather 450 Apex Production Commences – Deliveries To Start From March
Ather Energy has marked a significant milestone by commencing the production of its latest flagship electric scooter, the Ather 450 Apex. This announcement was made by Swapnil Jain, Co-founder of Ather Energy.
The new Ather 450 Apex electric scooter is not just another addition to their lineup but a limited edition model designed to commemorate 10 years of Ather Energy's journey in the electric vehicle sector.
The Ather 450 Apex sets itself apart with several upgrades, boasting a top speed of 100km/h, surpassing the previous 450X model's 90km/h. It achieves the 0-40km/h milestone in a mere 2.9 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds quicker than its predecessor.
Ather reports a 13% improvement in initial acceleration, with a substantial 30% boost in acceleration from 40-80km/h. Under the panels, the PMS electric motor now delivers a power output of 7kW (9.3bhp), compared to 6.4kW (8.5bhp) on the 450X. The peak torque remains consistent at 26Nm.
One of the noteworthy enhancements is the introduction of Warp+ mode, an evolution from the Warp mode seen on the 450X, providing an exhilarating riding experience. Additionally, the 450 Apex introduces the Magic Twist feature, incorporating a negative throttle for regenerative braking.
The Ather 450 Apex also receives a visual makeover with translucent panels coupled with a unique paint scheme, setting it apart from its counterparts. Also, the deliveries of the new Ather 450 Apex is set to commence from March 2024.
Looking ahead, Ather Energy is not resting on its laurels. The company has teased a new family scooter named Rizta. While specific details remain scarce, early teasers hint at a generously sized seat and ample floorboard space.
