Ather 450 Apex Launched At Rs 1.89 Lakh - Faster & With Better Range
Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather has launched the 450 Apex scooter in India. The Ather 450 Apex is priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ather 450 Apex is the latest member of the electric startup's 450 series of scooters. The new Ather 450 Apex celebrates the electric vehicle marque's 10th anniversary.
The design of the 450 Apex is strikingly similar to the 450X but the new scooter features transparent side panels. These panels offer an intriguing glimpse into the scooter's internals, a feature that sets it apart from other models in the market.
The 450 Apex comes in unique colour options: Indium Blue and Stark Orange, giving it a distinct aesthetic appeal. The Iridium Blue used in the 450 Apex is the latest shade of blue to be discovered in the world. It is considered the most matte blue out there.
What sets the 450 Apex apart is its performance. It packs 10% more power and torque than the 450X, offering a top speed of 100 km/h and accelerating from 0-40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
This extra performance can be accessed with the help of the new Warp+ riding mode only found on the 450 Apex. It also boasts the fastest throttle response time in the industry, just 90 ms, outperforming both ICE scooters and EVs in the segment. The 450 Apex has a 30% faster 40-80 km/h speed compared to the 450X, thanks to the increased motor output.
However, all that power doesn't mean that the 450 Apex skimps on the range. The introduction of the Magic Twist regenerative braking system enables the scooter to come to a complete halt and works even at 100% battery charge while increasing the True (real-world) range to 110km (157km IDC).

Bookings for the Ather 450 Apex are now open and deliveries of the scooter will start in March. The 450 Apex comes with a 5-year or 60,000-kilometre battery warranty and complimentary Ather Connect for 3 years.
Customers purchasing the 450 Apex will receive a Delight Kit, which includes a handcrafted helmet, an inbuilt Ather TPMS, a neck gaiter, an iron-on garment patch, and a uniquely designed keychain.
