Aprilia Tuareg 660 Launched In India At Rs 18.85 Lakh – New Features & More

After a much-anticipated wait, Aprilia has finally introduced the Tuareg 660 to the Indian market, with a price range of Rs 18.85 lakh to Rs 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This launch comes alongside a price update for Aprilia's flagship model, the RSV4 Factory, as well as the RS 660 and Tuono 660 models.

The Tuareg 660 boasts features such as tubeless tyres and a fully adjustable suspension, making it a noteworthy addition to Aprilia's lineup in India. However, it's important to note that the Tuono V4 lineup and the base RSV4 are no longer available for sale in India.

Aprilia Tuareg 660

The Tuareg 660 is equipped with a liquid-cooled, 659cc, 270-crank parallel-twin engine, similar to the RS and Tuono 660 models, but optimized to deliver 80hp at 9,250rpm and 70Nm at 6,500rpm.

Despite its robust twin-cylinder configuration, the bike maintains a lightweight feel at 204kg, with a full 18-litre tank. Its seat height is 860mm, which might pose a challenge for shorter riders.

The motorcycle is designed with a tubular steel frame, incorporating the engine as a stressed member, and features a USD fork and monoshock, both supplied by KYB and fully adjustable, enhancing its off-road capabilities.

For braking, the Tuareg 660 employs twin 300mm disc brakes with axial Brembo calipers at the front and a single 260mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. Its off-road readiness is further underscored by a 21/18-inch wire-spoked wheel setup, shod with tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.

Aprilia has integrated a comprehensive suite of electronic rider aids, including multiple levels of traction control, engine braking, cruise control, four riding modes (two preset and two customizable), and switchable dual-channel ABS.

The Tuareg 660's arrival in India through the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route contributes to its premium pricing, with the Atreides Black and Canyon Sand colour options priced at Rs 18.85 lakh, and the Dakar Podium livery at Rs 19.16 lakh.

The top-of-the-line RSV4 Factory is now priced at Rs 31.26 lakh, available exclusively in the Ultra Gold paint scheme. Notably, the prices for the 660 twins have seen an increase of approximately Rs 4 lakh, while the RSV4 Factory's price has surged by nearly Rs 6 lakh compared to previous pricing.
