Aprilia RS 457 Quickshifter Now Standard: Offer Only Valid For Festive Season
The Aprilia RS 457, priced at Rs. 4.17 lakh (ex-showroom), now includes a quickshifter as standard. Initially offered as an optional accessory, this feature is part of a festive offer valid for deliveries between October 23 and October 31, 2024. The quickshifter, previously costing Rs. 27,999, now provides a saving of Rs. 21,000.
Aprilia India has positioned the RS 457 competitively against models like the Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 500. It also competes with single-cylinder bikes such as the KTM 390 RC, TVS Apache RR 310, and BMW G310 RR. Unveiled globally last year, the RS 457 was showcased at the MotoGP Indian GP and its pricing was announced during the Indian Bike Week in Goa.

Design and Manufacturing
This motorcycle is inspired by the larger RS 660 model and is manufactured in Baramati, Maharashtra. Built on a twin-spar aluminium frame, it features disc brakes measuring 320 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
The suspension system comprises preload-adjustable USD front forks and a rear monoshock unit. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled DOHC engine with a parallel twin-cylinder configuration of 457 cc capacity. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 47.6 bhp and peak torque of 43.5 Nm.
Features and Specifications
The Aprilia RS 457 includes modern features such as switchable traction control and three ride modes. A five-inch TFT instrument console offers clear displays that can be customised to suit rider preferences. Additionally, it comes with LED headlamps, tail lamps, turn signals, and an anti-roll system.
The bike's six-speed transmission pairs with a slipper and assist clutch as standard equipment. It also boasts a two-in-one underslung exhaust system and ride-by-wire throttle technology. The motorcycle rides on TVS Protorq tyres mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Overall, the Aprilia RS 457 combines advanced features with competitive pricing to appeal to enthusiasts in India’s motorcycle market. Its design elements from the RS 660 enhance its aesthetic appeal while offering practical performance benefits for riders.
