Ampere Nexus Elecric Scooter Launched In Bengaluru – Stepping Up The Game

Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL) has launched the new Ampere Nexus electric scooter in Bengaluru. This latest electric scooter from Ampere is priced at Rs 1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Speaking about the Ampere Nexus electric scooter, this new electric scooter takes Ampere right in the firing line of well-established heavy-weights such as TVS, Ather, Ola Electric, Chetak, and Hero Vida.

As such, the success of the product in a city like Bengaluru is very crucial for the automaker. That being said, the competition is very stiff in this category with compititors such as the Ola S1, Ather 450, and TVS iQube range of electric scooters.

At present, the new Ampere Nexus electric scooter is available in two variants - EX and ST. While the EX is the base variant, the ST is positioned at a slight premium with a price tag of Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powering the Ampere Nexus is an IP67-rated, 3kWh LFP battery pack. However, despite the smaller battery, the Ampere Nexus is rated to deliver an impressive 136km range (CMVR) on a single charge.

Also, thanks to its more compact and LFP chemistry battery pack, the new Ampere Nexus electric scooter can be fully charged in just 3.3 hours using the optional 25A charger. That being said, the Ampere Nexus electric scooter comes with a 15A charger as standard.

Another critical part of the Ampere Nexus electric scooter is its electric motor. This single electric motor in the Ampere puts out a nominal power output of 4.42bhp and a peak power output of 5.36bhp.

It is alsio worth mentioning that the new Ampere Nexus electric scooter comes with three riding modes - Eco, City, and Power. In each of the riding modes, the top speed varies between 42km/h to 93km/h.

In terms of features, the Ampere Nexus comes with reverse mode, a 7-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, LED lighting technology. Furthermore, the model is offered in 4 different shades.
