2024 India Bike Week: 2025 KTM 390 Adventure S Revealed
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has revealed the 390 Adventure S at IBW 2024 in Goa. This is the first time that the KTM 390 Adventure S has been shown to an Indian audience and it was revealed alongside the new 390 Enduro R.
The KTM Adventure 390 S is one of three versions of the adventure motorcycle that is expected to be launched in January 2025 at Auto Expo in New Delhi. The new KTM 390 Adventure S is expected to be joined in the showrooms by the Adventure X and Adventure R variants.
The KTM Adventure S looks similar to the Adventure R showcased at the EICMA show last month in Milan, Italy with dual LED headlights surrounded by the LED DRLs above which sits a tall windscreen. Also seen is a TFT display, a black painted frame, a body painted in orange and white with blue highlights LED taillights and rear blinkers.
Like the 390 Adventure R, the new KTM 390 Adventure S features a trellis frame setup suspended off an adjustable USD front fork and a monoshock at the rear. However, the 390 Adventure S rides on a smaller rear wheel compared to the R. The new 390 Adventure S sports a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear rim (the R has a 19-inch unit) that are shod with Apollo Tramplr tyres.
The KTM Adventure 390 S features the same 399cc LC4c engine that powers the naked 390 Duke. The engine pushes out 44.25bhp and 39Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox in the 390 Duke.
The new Adventure S sports multiple riding modes and it also gets dual-channel ABS to go with the disc brake on each wheel that helps bring the ADV to a quick stop.
