2025 KTM 390 Adventure: To Get Cruise Control As A Feature
The KTM 390 Adventure, a popular choice among Indian adventure motorcycles, is set for a significant update in 2025. This model will feature two distinct versions, as indicated by spy images and official camouflaged photos. The standard version is more suited for touring, while an off-road-focused R version has been showcased in South Dakota, USA.
At the rally event in South Dakota, the R version of the KTM 390 Adventure was displayed with several off-road enhancements. These include a 21-inch front wheel, knobby tyres, fully adjustable suspension, and increased ground clearance. Additional features like handlebar risers, round ORVMs, and knuckle guards were also observed.
Key Features of the 2025 KTM 390 ADV
The standout feature of the new KTM 390 Adventure is its cruise control system. This system allows riders to maintain set speeds using ride-by-wire technology. It reduces rider input for a more relaxed touring experience and is operated via the left switchgear with dedicated buttons for activation and speed adjustment.
The motorcycle's design has undergone a major revamp, enhancing its edgy appearance. It now sports a vertically stacked headlight setup and a tall windscreen. The semi-fairing is sharp with a long beak that gives it a classic ADV look. Full details will be unveiled at the 2024 EICMA Show.
Engine and Electronics
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure retains its powerful engine—a 399 cc DOHC 4V liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit producing approximately 45 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is expected to come equipped with advanced electronics, including a 5-inch TFT display featuring Bluetooth connectivity.
While most off-road components from the R version may not appear on the standard model, cruise control will be included across both versions. This feature is particularly useful for long-distance travel by maintaining consistent speeds without constant throttle adjustments.
