Honda SP160 Motorcycle Updated: Now Features OBD2B Compliance, TFT Display, & USB-C Charging Port

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the 2025 SP160, following the recent launches of the Activa 125 and SP125. This new model is tailored for modern riders, featuring an engine compliant with OBD2B standards, bold aesthetics, and advanced technology. The starting price is Rs. 1,21,951 (ex-showroom Delhi), appealing to young riders who value performance, style, and functionality.

The SP160 boasts a 162.71cc single-cylinder engine that generates 9.9 kW at 7500 RPM and a torque of 14.58 Nm at 5500 RPM. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox for smooth performance while adhering to OBD2B norms. This setup ensures both efficiency and refinement in its ride quality.

Advanced Features & Connectivity

A standout feature of the SP160 is its 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app. This system provides turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, music playback, and easy access to essential ride data. Additionally, a USB Type-C charging port is included for on-the-go device charging.

The SP160's design combines sportiness with practicality. It features a muscular fuel tank with shrouds, an aerodynamic undercowl, a bold muffler with chrome accents, and an all-LED lighting setup for both headlamps and taillamps. These elements contribute to its striking appearance.

Dimensions & Variants

In terms of dimensions, the SP160 measures 2061 mm in length, 786 mm in width, and 1113 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1347 mm and offers a ground clearance of 177 mm along with a seat height of 796 mm. The fuel tank can hold up to 12 litres.

The bike's kerb weight varies by variant: the Single Disc version weighs 139 kg while the Double Disc version weighs slightly more at 141 kg. Tyre specifications include an 80/100-17M/C front tyre and a larger rear tyre measuring 130/70-17M/C.

Braking System & Colour Options

The braking system includes a front disc measuring 276 mm; the rear brake can be either a 220 mm disc or a smaller drum depending on the variant chosen. The SP160 comes in two variants: Single Disc priced at Rs. 1,21,951 and Double Disc at Rs. 1,27,956 (ex-showroom Delhi).

For those interested in aesthetics, there are four colour options available: Radiant Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, and Athletic Blue Metallic.
