2025 Ducati Panigale V4 Revealed: Lighter & Even More Powerful
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has unveiled the 2025 Panigale V4, which marks a significant leap in the evolution of its flagship superbike. This latest iteration of the race-bred motorcycle, the seventh generation to bear the Panigale name, brings revised styling, updated ergonomics, and advanced electronics to enhance performance and the rider experience.
At the heart of the 2025 Panigale V4 is the 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, now 1kg lighter than its predecessor. The engine retains its counter-rotating crankshaft to reduce inertia, with peak power now achieved at 500rpm higher.

While torque has slightly decreased, it is delivered higher in the rev range- 123.6Nm at 9500rpm on the previous model. The optional track-only Akrapovič exhaust boosts output to a claimed 224.9bhp.
The Panigale V4S model features electronic Öhlins suspension, including NPX-30 forks, a TTX 36 shock absorber, and a steering damper to prevent unwanted wobbles. These components are adjustable through a new 6.9-inch full-colour TFT dash, offering a greater range of settings between road and track modes.

One of the most notable changes in the 2025 Panigale V4 is the introduction of a double-sided swingarm, replacing the single-sided design that has been a hallmark of previous models. This new shell-cast aluminium swingarm features large cut-outs exposing the 17-inch rear wheel, reducing lateral stiffness by 37% to improve traction and rider feel during acceleration.
The rear wheel assembly is now 3.8kg lighter than the outgoing model, thanks in part to a newly designed single-rod shock linkage inspired by Ducati's racers. The revised linkage maintains the same progressiveness as before while reducing the shock absorber's length and weight.

The front end of the Panigale V4 has also been raised by 25mm, with the rear bodywork dropped slightly. This change, along with an extended tailpiece, provides more room for the rider to manoeuvre on the bike, especially during track use. There is also a new front mudguard, based on research from Ducati's MotoE race bike, to help maximise aerodynamic efficiency.
Styling updates include narrower front lights and mirrors integrated into the front fairing, which eliminates the need for blanking plates when removed for track use. This styling change helps reduce drag by 4 per cent.

The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 comes equipped with a suite of advanced electronics. A six-axis IMU controls traction control, wheelie control, slide control, launch control, and an up/down quickshifter.
Additionally, the new 'Race eCBS' combined braking system, developed in collaboration with Bosch, encourages the use of some rear brake on the circuit to stabilize the motorcycle and improve cornering performance. This system offers seven levels of intervention, allowing the rider to manually add rear brake pressure if desired.

Thoughts About The Ducati Panigale V4
The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 represents a significant advancement in Ducati's flagship superbike lineup. With enhanced performance, updated design elements, and state-of-the-art electronics, the new Panigale V4 is poised to offer an unparalleled riding experience both on the road and the track.
