The Yamaha TMAX560 has recently received a few fresh updates in several international markets, sparking anticipation for its potential launch in India.
Yamaha officially unveiled the new TMAX560 in Japan on February 29th, offering two variants - TMAX560 and TMAX560 Tech Max. Pricing for the TMAX560 starts at RM 75,000 (Rs. 13 Lakh, Ex-Showroom) in Malaysia and JPY 1.4 Million (Rs. 7.75 lakh) in Japan.
The 2024 Yamaha TMAX560 is offered with new colour options. The standard TMAX560 is available in Matte Black with Racing Blue wheels, while the TMAX560 Tech Max comes in Matte Dark Reddish Grey and Matte Dark Grey in the Japanese market. In Malaysia, the TMAX560 is offered in Dark Magma and Tech Black shades.
The TMAX560 comes equipped with LED lighting, gold-finished USD telescopic front forks, mono-shock rear suspension, tall transparent windscreen, comfortable ergonomics, plush seats, dual disc brakes at the front, rear single disc braking setup, dual-channel ABS, and more.
Technological upgrades include a 7-inch TFT instrument display, Garmin navigation, electrically operated windscreen, heated seats, heated grips, cruise control, and others. The scooter has a spacious under-seat storage compartment, a 15L fuel tank, and a total weight of 220 kg.
The TMAX560 is powered by a 560cc DOHC 4V parallel-twin-cylinder engine, generating 47.6 bhp and 55.7 Nm of torque, coupled with a CVT and belt-drive system.
The appearance of a test model of the 2024 Yamaha TMAX560 in India, fitted with temporary Karnataka state registration plates, hints at Yamaha's possible launch of the scooter in India.
Currently, the market for large-capacity scooters in India is growing and will gain more traction with Scooter like the Sixties 300i and Vieste 300 from Keeway and the C400GT from BMW which stand as competition for the Yamaha TMAX 560
