Bajaj Auto Debuts 2024 Latin Spec Pulsar N160: Cooler Than The Indian Spec?
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj has been launching many new models of their Pulsar lineup in recent times. Last month Bajaj showcased the Indian spec Pulsar N160 and now the marque has just announced a Pulsar N160 variant for the Latin American market.
Bajaj Auto has been manufacturing vehicles and shipping them out for sale in global markets from India. One of Bajaj’s biggest markets apart from India is the Latin American market. Currently, Bajaj offers both the NS160 and N160 in the Latin American market as a part of the 160cc segment.

When talking about the N160, the Latin American market gets two dual-tone colours which are not available in India. Pearl Metallic White, Brooklyn Black and Polar Sky Blue are the colour options we get in India, whereas for the Latin American markets, Bajaj has offered a Navy Blue with Silver Option and a Khaki Green with Silver option for the N160.
Bajaj has also opted for extra stickering for the Latin spec N160’s. These stickers are done in contrasting colours giving the bike a nice three-tone colour effect. A bright neon yellow colour has been used on the Khaki Green variant and a neon orange has been used on the Navy-Blue variant.

Unlike the N160 we got here in India, with the exposed steel crash guard, the Latin American N160 get a much nicer frame slider with plastic end caps. The stickering covers the subframe, giving it a much more appealing design. However, the N160 sold in the Latin American market does not get the new TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, as we get in India.
Apart from the visual design changes, the Latin-spec N160 mechanically remains the same as the bike available in the Indian market. Bajaj uses the same 164.83cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 16bhp and 14.5 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

Bajaj aims to revise their entire fleet of Pulsar bikes by the end of 2024. Bajaj has also announced that they will be launching their most powerful Pulsar yet, in the upcoming months. This bike is expected to be called the NS400. It is expected to sport the engine from either the Bajaj Dominar 400 or updated unit from the new KTM Duke 390.
DriveSpark Thinks
The Pulsar N160 showcases Bajaj's aim at offering riders a blend of performance, style, and value, built to meet the preferences of different global markets. However, we do wish Bajaj would offer the dual-tone schemes here in India.
