2024 Kawasaki Z900 Launched In India At Rs 9.29 Lakh: Check Out More Details Here
Kawasaki has officially rolled out the 2024 Z900 in the Indian market, priced at Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This marks a Rs 9,000 increase over its predecessor, the 2023 model. Despite the hike, the motorcycle remains mechanically identical to the previous iteration.
Specifications and Features
The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 retains 948cc inline-four engine with 125bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. While the powertrain remains a highlight, the absence of a bidirectional quickshifter—a feature now common among rivals—points to the bike's use of a traditional cable throttle over the more modern electronic systems.

The bike's chassis, a steel trellis frame, supports the powerful engine, ensuring stability and agility. Suspension duties are managed by an adjustable USD fork and monoshock, allowing riders to fine-tune preload and rebound settings. The braking system comprises twin 300mm discs at the front and a single 250mm disc at the rear, with Nissin calipers ensuring effective stopping power.
The Z900 also boasts a colour TFT dashboard, which can be synced with smartphones via the 'Rideology' app for navigation alerts and notifications. The electronics suite includes two power modes, three riding modes, three levels of traction control, and dual-channel ABS, which is non-switchable.

Price Comparison and Value Proposition
At its new price point, the Kawasaki Z900 presents a competitive option, especially when compared to rivals like the Triumph Street Triple R, which is priced at Rs 10.17 lakh (ex-showroom). However, in Mumbai, the on-road price for the Z900 climbs to Rs 12.72 lakh, slightly higher than the Street Triple R's Rs 12.36 lakh.
Despite its simpler feature set and slightly higher on-road price, the Kawasaki Z900's powerful engine and comprehensive electronics package make it a compelling choice for enthusiasts. Whether its appeal surpasses that of the lighter and more agile Street Triple R is a matter of personal preference.

As the motorcycle community debates the merits of these two formidable bikes, Kawasaki continues to solidify its presence in the Indian market with its latest offering. The 2024 Z900 stands as a testament to the brand's commitment to blending performance with value.
