2024 Kawasaki Vulcan S Launched In India At Rs 7.10 Lakh: A Blend Of Comfort & Performance
The 2024 Kawasaki Vulcan S has been introduced in the Indian market with an asking price of ₹7.10 (ex-showroom). This middleweight cruiser model now sports a fresh Pearl Matte Sage Green colour, alongside its usual mechanical specifications matching the MY2024 version. This fresh hue is the only update, as the price remains consistent with the previous model, except for the new colour addition.
The 2024 Kawasaki Vulcan S continues to be powered by the trusted 649 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which delivers 60 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 62.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,600 rpm. This robust engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle's design features a low-slung stance with a high rake and trail, offering riders a comfortable posture for long distances, thanks to its low and wide handlebar and forward-set footpegs. It also boasts a rider and pillion touring seat with enhanced cushioning for added comfort during rides.
The Kawasaki Vulcan S stands out from traditional American cruisers by opting for an all-black style on its engine and other components, providing a striking contrast to its new matte green paintwork. This decision underlines Kawasaki's commitment to offering unique aesthetic choices for riders who prefer a more understated look compared to the usual chrome-heavy designs.
In terms of its build and capabilities, the Vulcan S is supported by a perimeter frame and rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. The motorcycle is equipped with 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the back, ensuring a smooth ride. For safety, it features single disc brakes on both ends, complemented by dual-channel ABS.
The bike is not just about performance but also convenience. It comes with a 14-litre fuel tank and weighs 235 kg (kerb). The seat's height is comfortably low at 705 mm, making it easily accessible, while the ground clearance stands at 130 mm.
The Vulcan S offers a semi-digital instrument console but ups its game with Bluetooth connectivity, merging classic design with modern technology to enhance the riding experience.
In the competitive segment of modern-retro motorcycles, the Kawasaki Vulcan S faces stiff competition from several noteworthy models such as the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and the BSA Gold Star 650, among others. These motorcycles are all vying for the attention of riders who appreciate a blend of traditional styling with contemporary performance and features.
DriveSpark Thinks
The 2024 Kawasaki Vulcan S not only retains its well-loved mechanical specifications but also introduces a visually appealing Pearl Matte Sage Green colour option, without altering the price. Its distinctive design, coupled with advanced features like Bluetooth connectivity, positions it as an attractive choice for riders in India, setting the stage for an interesting battle in its segment.
