2024 Jawa 42 Motorcycle Launched In India At Rs 1.73 Lakh: Comes With Mechanical Updates
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has intensified its competition against Royal Enfield with the launch of the 2024 Jawa 42. The 2024 Jawa 42 is priced attractively, starting from Rs 1.73 lakh and going up to Rs 1.98 lakh (Ex-showroom).
This new Jawa 42 is aimed at the neo-retro motorcycle segment and comes with a revised price and numerous mechanical updates. The company is positioning itself as a strong contender in the market.
2024 Jawa 43 also offers a wide range of colours, with six new additions for this model year. new colours include Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Nebula Blue, and Celestial Copper Matte.
These new shades join the existing colour palette of the pre-update Jawa 42. The company describes their latest roadster as the 'most revered neo-classic machine’ available in India. Classic Legends has focused on enhancing mechanical aspects to boost overall performance and other attributes.
The primary highlight of the 2024 Jawa 42 is its price-to-performance ratio, which gives it an edge over Royal Enfield's 350cc offerings. The bike features a new 294cc J-Panther single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine has been reworked with new internals to improve NVH levels and ensure smoother gear shifts

2024 Jawa 42 Specs
This engine includes gear-based throttle mapping for optimized performance across gears. It delivers peak power of 27.32 bhp and peak torque of 26.84 Nm. The bike also comes with a slipper clutch and a six-speed gearbox. Other enhancements include increased ground clearance, a more comfort-oriented seat, and re-tuned suspension.
Jawa claims that there are over 42 significant upgrades in the new model, driven by customer feedback. These improvements aim to enhance various aspects of the motorcycle's performance and user experience.
