Honda CB200X: The Everyday ADV, Better Than Xpulse?
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India's Honda CB200X motorcycle is an everyday ADV that we think will suit a wider spectrum of buyers. For starters, this motorcycle is based on the Honda Hornet 2.0, making it very versatile and suitable for munching miles on highways.
Enhanced Riding Experience
The Honda CB200X has decent wind protection, reducing the riding fatigue that is typically associated with riding long distances on highways. This is not only beneficial for long journeys but also during short highway stints.

Furthermore, the slipper clutch helps in aggressive downshifting scenarios, preventing wheel lock. This enhances stability and control, improving rider safety and aiding faster lap times on tracks.
Key Features
As mentioned, the Honda CB200X features a slipper clutch, On top of that, the bike features an all-LED lighting setup, ensuring better visibility. The raised handlebar, knuckle covers with LED winkers, tall visor, and split step-up seat add to its sporty profile.
The keyhole is on the tank along with stylish alloy wheels, a rugged under-cowl, an upswept exhaust, an engine stop switch, and a hazard switch. The fully digital negative LCD shows a range of information and is readable in different lighting conditions.

Missing Tech
However, the Honda CB200X lacks Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation, common features in competitors like the Hero Xpulse 200 4V. It also misses a USB charging port. These features might be included in future updates.
Robust Build
The Honda CB200X utilises a diamond-type steel frame. It has golden USD telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock rear suspension. The tough tread pattern tyres perform well on slippery and challenging terrains. The braking setup includes 276mm and 220mm petal discs at the front and rear, with front ABS for enhanced braking.
Performance
The Honda CB200X is powered by an 184.4cc engine that delivers 17bhp and 15.9Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a paired 5-speed gearbox. In comparison, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V features a 199.6cc engine generating 18.9bhp and 17.35Nm of peak torque, also paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

DriveSpark Thinks
With the Honda CB200X motorcycle, Honda aims to attract buyers using the model's better on-road dynamics, and highway performance. As such, we expect the Honda CB200X to be very suitable for those who spend a decent chunk of their travel time on highways.
